Secondary-Side Heat Exchanger Estimates for Vapor Cycle

v2.11.0

Vapor cycle cases can now estimate condenser and evaporator secondary-side temperatures, LMTD, AMTD, and UA with clearer component details.

2026/05/19

Vapor Cycle

  • Secondary-side heat exchanger inputs: Condenser and evaporator cases now support secondary-side fluid, flow direction, volume flow, and inlet or outlet temperature inputs.
  • LMTD and UA estimates: Component details show LMTD and required UA when the secondary-side setup is enabled and physically valid.
  • Clearer UA comparison: Component details separate segmented LMTD, overall endpoint LMTD, overall endpoint AMTD, and segmented AMTD results so common estimation methods are easier to compare.
  • Grouped result layout: Secondary-side rows now use clearer grouped headings and shorter labels, while the left input panel focuses on zone-level LMTD UA values.
  • Water and glycol support: Secondary-side fluid options include water and a 50% ethylene glycol water solution.
  • Saved per case: Secondary-side settings, enabled state, expanded state, and flow units are saved independently for each case and restored after refresh.
  • Flow unit choice: Volume flow can be entered in L/min or L/h, with values converted automatically when the unit changes.

Multi-Case Management for Vapor Cycle

v2.10.0

Vapor cycle calculations now support multiple saved cases so you can compare operating conditions without losing inputs.

2026/05/15

Vapor Cycle

  • Multiple operating cases: Create cases from the current setup, switch between them, rename them, and delete cases you no longer need.
  • Automatic browser save: Cases are saved locally in the browser, so refreshed pages restore your saved inputs and active case.
  • Synchronized results: Inputs, units, charts, summary values, engineering tables, and component details now follow the active case together.
  • Cleaner case controls: The case strip uses a compact segmented style with stable hover and selection behavior.

Heat Exchanger Zone Shares for Vapor Cycle Details

v2.9.0

Condenser and evaporator details now show each heat-transfer zone's enthalpy share for quicker load distribution checks.

2026/05/15

Vapor Cycle

  • Clearer condenser breakdown: Condenser details now show superheat, condensing, and subcooling zone shares so the heat rejection distribution is easier to scan.
  • Clearer evaporator breakdown: Evaporator details now show two-phase and superheat zone shares to highlight where the heat absorption is concentrated.
  • Consistent detail tables: The new percentages use the same parameter, value, and unit table format as the existing component detail rows.

Configurable Property Lookup Columns

v2.8.0

Saturation lookup tables now support configurable columns, selection-order display, and a cleaner column menu.

2026/05/14

Table Configuration

  • Choose the columns you need: Saturation lookup tables now use a Columns menu so you can show only the properties you want to compare.
  • Selection order is respected: When a hidden column is shown again, it is appended to the current table, making it easier to build a table around your comparison workflow.
  • Clear fixed starting columns: Sweep tables still start with saturation temperature, while single-temperature multi-fluid tables still start with the fluid name.

Usability and Readability

  • Cleaner column menu: Columns are grouped into Basic, Liquid, Vapor, and Phase Change sections, and the full row can be clicked to toggle a column.
  • More stable table widths: Column widths now use steadier reading sizes, reducing the uneven look across different column combinations.
  • CSV follows the table: CSV export follows the currently visible columns and their order.

Cleaner Tools Navigation

v2.7.0

Moved property-tool mode switching into the main navigation and renamed the property chart entry for clearer access.

2026/05/13

Navigation Improvements

  • P-h Diagram is now a top-level tool: The previous property calculator entry has been renamed to P-h Diagram for clearer navigation.
  • Property Lookup has its own entry: Saturation property analysis is now available directly from the main navigation as Property Lookup.
  • Less duplicate navigation: Property tools no longer show a separate internal Graph/Table switcher, keeping navigation focused in the header.

Saturation Comparison Upgrade

v2.6.0

Added reduced pressure, clearer dynamic-viscosity labels, and base-fluid percentage comparisons for saturation analysis.

2026/05/10

New Features

  • Reduced pressure metric: Saturation analysis can now show reduced pressure as a selectable property in the table, chart, and CSV export.
  • Base-fluid percentage comparison: In single-temperature multi-fluid lookups, the primary fluid stays first as the base and other fluids show their relative difference below each comparable value.
  • Comparison-aware chart tooltip: Multi-fluid chart tooltips now place the base fluid first and show each other fluid's percentage difference against it.

Workflow Improvements

  • Primary fluid stays visible: The primary fluid cannot be hidden in saturation analysis, avoiding ambiguity about which fluid is used as the comparison base.
  • Clearer viscosity wording: Saturation viscosity labels now explicitly say dynamic viscosity in both English and Chinese.

Saturation Temperature Lookup

v2.5.0

Added a single-temperature saturation lookup mode with multi-fluid comparison rows and matching chart markers.

2026/04/26

New Features

  • Single-temperature saturation lookup: Enter a saturation temperature to switch the table from a full sweep into a focused one-point lookup.
  • Multi-fluid point comparison: When multiple fluids are visible, the lookup table shows one row per fluid so values can be compared at the same saturation temperature.
  • Matching chart markers: The trend chart keeps the full curves and adds same-color markers at the lookup point for each visible fluid.

Workflow Improvements

  • Focused CSV export: Export the current single-temperature comparison table with fluid names and saturation temperature included.
  • Clearer lookup input: The temperature field now uses example-style placeholder text so it does not look like a prefilled value.

Vapor Cycle Tool Release

v2.4.0

Added a dedicated vapor-compression cycle workspace with cycle inputs, P-h visualization, summary metrics, and component details.

2026/04/25

New Features

  • Vapor cycle workspace released: Added a dedicated vapor-compression cycle tool for quick refrigeration-cycle checks.
  • Interactive P-h cycle view: The cycle is shown on a P-h chart with state points and native zoom controls.

Calculation & Results

  • Core cycle inputs in one panel: Set refrigerant, evaporator and condenser pressure, superheat, subcooling, efficiencies, displacement, mass flow, and cooling capacity.
  • Linked capacity and mass flow: Cooling capacity and mass flow stay connected, so either value can drive the cycle result.
  • Clear summary metrics: Review COP, compressor work and power, compressor speed, cooling capacity, mass flow, and condenser heat at a glance.

Workflow Improvements

  • Component detail panel: Inspect compressor, condenser, expansion valve, and evaporator details without leaving the workspace.
  • Safer unit switching: Display units can be changed without changing the internal calculation basis.

Saturation Analysis Release and Native Zoom Upgrade

v2.3.0

Added a dedicated saturation analysis workspace and upgraded chart zoom across Props tools with a cleaner native interaction model.

2026/04/13

New Features

  • Saturation analysis released: Added a dedicated saturation page for saturation tables, trend charts, and CSV export.
  • Better multi-fluid saturation comparison: Comparison curves now follow each fluid's own valid saturation range, which avoids distorted segments in mixed-fluid views.

Chart & Interaction Improvements

  • Native zoom across Props charts: P-h, T-s, and saturation charts now use native chart zoom behavior for smoother range control.
  • Desktop X/Y sliders added: On desktop, charts now support direct X-axis and Y-axis range adjustment with visible sliders.
  • Unit switching added to saturation tables: Common dimensional properties can now switch display units directly from the table header, with table values, charts, and CSV export staying in sync.
  • Clearer unit dropdown affordance: Columns with switchable units now show a dedicated small dropdown trigger in the header, which separates metric selection from unit selection more clearly.

UX Improvements

  • Cleaner chart headers: P-h and T-s controls are now more compact and aligned into a cleaner top row.
  • More natural zoom workflow: Range changes are easier to inspect and adjust, especially when comparing multiple fluids.
  • Long unit labels behave better on small screens: Saturation table headers now use controlled wrapping for longer combined unit labels, which reduces horizontal crowding on narrow layouts.
  • Unit triggers are easier to discover: The small header arrow now has clearer hover and active feedback, making the clickable unit control easier to spot.

T-S Diagram Release and Chart UX Improvements

v2.2.0

Added the T-S diagram, completed zoom modes, and improved first-screen chart layout and chart-note behavior.

2026/03/31

New Features

  • Zoom modes completed: The T-S diagram now supports Off / XY / X / Y zoom with reset support.

Chart & Interaction Improvements

  • Multi-fluid usability improvements: Improved chart behavior and readability in multi-fluid scenarios.
  • Cleaner dome rendering: Refined the saturation-dome apex so the shape closes more naturally.

UX Improvements

  • Better first-screen layout: Adjusted the chart workspace so key information is easier to see on first paint.
  • More stable chart notes interaction: Expanding or collapsing chart notes no longer causes obvious chart viewport jumps.

Multi-Fluid P-h Diagram Release

v2.1.0

Multi-fluid overlay, per-fluid visibility control, primary-fluid switching, and unified phase-aware color feedback are now supported.

2026/03/08

New Features

  • Multi-fluid overlay charting: Compare multiple fluids on the same P-h diagram.
  • Per-fluid visibility control: Show or hide each fluid independently, including the primary fluid.
  • Primary fluid switching: Switch the primary fluid anytime; the left input panel and calculations follow it.
  • In-place fluid replacement: Click a fluid name to replace the fluid in that slot, without remove-and-add steps.

Interaction & Visualization Improvements

  • Unified fluid segment bar: Continuous segmented controls with auto-wrap, supporting up to 5 fluids.
  • Unified phase color system: Liquid, two-phase, gas, supercritical, and unknown states now use a consistent palette across result badges, ΔT highlighting, and state points on the P-h diagram.
  • Cleaner two-phase labeling: When the state is saturated and ΔT = 0, the amber input styling remains, but the SAT tag is no longer shown to reduce visual noise.
  • Clearer chart title: The title now shows visible fluid names directly, with colors matched to their curves.
  • Improved tooltip modes:
    • Single-curve mode shows the fluid name on the first line.
    • Multi-curve mode uses a distinct background style for quick mode recognition.

Stability & UX Improvements

  • Improved interaction consistency and keyboard accessibility in multi-fluid scenarios.
  • Fixed visual inconsistencies in multi-row segment layout and hover states.
  • Consolidated phase color and theme-token usage to reduce scattered hardcoded styles and improve maintainability, validation, and future extension.
